From last chapter of The Elevator Family:
After breakfast Mr. Brown paid a visit. A dab of shaving cream jiggled beneath one sideburn.
“I just read about you people in the newspaper,” he announced. “Your picture gave me an idea. Why couldn’t this family become the latest fad? We’ll call you the Elevator Family. We can see Elevator Family dolls and Elevator Family books. There will be Elevator Family lunch boxes, Elevator Family sweatshirts, and coming soon—The Elevator Family Movie. This could be the idea I’ve been waiting for. If this fad catches on, I won’t need to leave home anymore.”
From The Elevator Family Goes Abroad:
Yes, the very businessman who the Wilsons had met in San Francisco was now standing before them in London, England. In fact, Mr. Brown was the person who coined the nickname the Elevator Family.
“Good to see you again, Robert,” said Walter.
“So your fad selling business must be going well, Mr. Brown,” said Winona.
“As Winslow always says, it’s been fantabulous,” Bob Brown said. “Ever since you allowed me to use your name, The Elevator Family, on toys and other merchandise, I’ve been working for myself. That’s what I’m doing on this side of the pond. The Brits are interested in licensing The Elevator Family brand. Soon your picture will be in magazines, video games, and T-shirts all over Great Britain.”
From The Elevator Family Does the Big Apple:
Mr. Brown sat at an outside table by the water’s edge.
“Walter, Winona, Winslow, Whitney, and Cat,” he called out. “How good to see you again.”
“Last time we met was in London at Christmastime,” Walter said,
“A lot has happened since then,” said Mr. Brown. “A lot has happened since the world watched you on the Not Too Late Show. All morning, my phone hasn’t stopped chirping. People across the country want you to make appearances. The Elevator Family business is booming.”
“Only the best,” said Walter.
While everyone ate lunch, the manager kept talking. “Sales of the Elevator Family products are off the charts,” he said. “The Elevator Family video game is selling like hotcakes. Elevator Family T-shirts and action figures sell so fast stores can’t keep them in stock. An Elevator Family movie is in the works and an Elevator Family TV series.”
From The Elevator Family On Ice:
The Wilsons continued to tour the SMALL exhibition. The largest booth in the hall sold Elevator Family books and merchandise—Elevator Family Pick-Up Sticks, Elevator Family dolls, Elevator Family barbecue aprons, and Elevator Family hats.
“Great Scott,” said Walter. “Bob Brown, our manager, has been busy.”
A young woman in the booth stood up, “Wow! The Elevator Family has come to visit the Elevator Family booth,” she said. “Hi, I’m Amanda Brown. Bob Brown is my uncle.”
“So, Mr. Brown has his family working for him,” said Walter.
“The whole Brown family has become a lot closer since Uncle Bob met you in the San Francisco Hotel,” Amanda said.
“I’d like to buy one can of Elevator Family Pick-Up-Sticks,” said Winslow.
“And I’ll take one Elevator Family sketch pad,” said Winona.
From The Elevator Family Sets Sail:
Whitney held a small triangular flag that she had sewn. She attached the pennant it to a line and ran the flag up to the top of the tall mast in the center of the ship. On the flag was the Wilson’s logo. This way passing ships could tell who was on board the boat.
“The five stars are the Big W star formation found in the constellation Cassiopeia,” she explained.
“A constellation we’ve seen many times on our travels,” said Winslow. “Dad always says the Big W stands for Wilson.”
“And the Big W will again be guiding us during this voyage,” said Winona.
Captain Walter stood at the wheel. He wore his white captain’s hat. He leaned back to watch the Wilson pennant flap in the steady breeze. “Excellent, only the best. Yes, the Big W stands for our family"
