The Arctic Ark - a global warming story
By the year 2050, scientists say the entire Arctic region including the North Pole will be free of ice. Only one person, fourth-grader Tom Tucker, has asked the important question. What will happen to Santa?
Santa Claus is in trouble. Global warming has wreaked havoc upon his home on the North Pole. The toy factory roof leaks. The reindeer barn is flooded, and the snow is too slushy for safe sleigh take-offs. In order to be ready for Christmas Eve, Santa has no choice. He must move. His helpers will build a ship, the Arctic Ark, and from there Captain Claus can prepare for Christmas. A-ho-ho-hoy!

After being frozen in the polar ice for 400 years and freed by global warming, Frosty Jack, leader of the Polar Pirates, hijacks the Arctic Ark
and tows it to his plastic island lair. Once again Christmas is in jeopardy. Can Tom Tucker once again help Captain Claus and free the ark in time?
